DITCHES FARMERS HIGHLINE TRAIL TO GREENWAY TRAIL. ETC...
The Ditch from the Ward 4 Meeting up by Northglenn High School is a rather long Ditch that runs to the lakes of Northglenn. It's a long Ditch and an extensive project. But don't worry it's really not that bad of an issue. It's not one of those Engineer needs to be called deals. If you been told that then you spoke to the wrong person.
Apparently there's a lot of information on the internet about Ditch cleaning and Ditch Digging and Ditch Leveling. I know from my youth about the Ditches behind my home, that is no more and the Ditch that we are talking about that feeds water to most of the lakes in Northglenn around Webster Lake, Croke, Winburn and others and splits to other Ditches and more locations.
As a kid I was with the Northglenn Boy Scouts and besides just cleaning around the city hall they had use do some hard labor cleaning the ditch at E.B. Rains Park for a silly Community Service Badge. It was hard work.
Standing water was the residents complaint at the Ward 4 meeting. Apparently the Council had a good amount of the Ditch plants cut and this caused blockage and created nasty smelling standing water. Big problem is that a bunch of debris was left in the ditch. The City failed to clean the ditch out properly. This entire problem was addressed by the council and the Toxic Council is the blame for why the ditch wasn't cleaned and trenched properly. It's one of the episodes that aired recently on channel 8. Apparently they didn't know what to do and turned it into a really big issue. It should of been simpler.
I looked up some solutions on line and apparently it's actually low cost. Considering this feeds new water to the lakes around town. It can also explain some of the issues with the toxic blue green algae.
I'm no Ditch Expert but I've been around the Northglenn Ditches most of my life, the Colorado River, the South Platte River and other Estuaries. Cleaning them out properly shouldn't be that big of a deal. Leaving a bunch of cuttings in the Ditch was just silly. No Engineer is required just a couple of guys with a ditch trencher that knows what they are doing.
Vote Mark Philip Bromley for Mayor, I'm not just another pretty boy but a real Knowledgeable Handyman to have to resolve silly fix it issues that shouldn't of caused a big stink around town. A Vote for me is a vote for sensible government. Let's get rid of this Toxic Council.
