PARK AND GREENWAY TRAIL SAFETY AFTER DARK
Many residents have expressed concerns and reports of violence or hostile activity taking place, even suspected illegal narcotic deals in the parks and along the Greenway Trail. As Mayor I'll work to improve lighting conditions along the green way trail and improve local authorities ability to monitor and patrol these dark and isolated corners of the City to maintain Law and Order in the city. Of course the citizens themselves should always report to the Police 911 whenever they are alarmed or alerted to a situation that should require Law Enforcement monitoring or activity. Never try to handle any crime you see on your own. (Unless you are a trained professional and called the police for backup, and are the only one that can help.) Always contact Law Enforcement for help.
As a citizen of Northglenn please be advised there is a Citizens Afairs Board that has been established to hear your complaints and work closely with the City Council and Local Authorities to insure crime is limited and vigilantly watched and eliminated in the city of Northglenn. Please look it up on the City Website. Citizen Affair Board also listens to any and all other ideas the Citizens have and would want the City to be aware of.
As Mayor I am also available any time to discuss or hear about issues or problems involving safety and Law Enforcement. The City Council itself is always available to hear your concerns as well and working together we can appropriately address these issues and keep our parks safe. I personally do walk in the parks and trails of the city so I'm always on the look out. If you see me around I welcome hearing from you. In the Navy I was Shore Patrol a cop without a gun, kind of like Andy Griffith same was true while in Homeland Security. One NGPD called me Batman, but just because I was a kid in Northglenn once an put on one Batman Cowl shouldn't haunt me forever.
I work to keep your parks and trails safe. Remember to Vote Bromley for Mayor this November 5th.
