SKATE PARK ARE WE GETTING GOOD CONSTRUCTIVE USE OR IS IT A HIVE OF OF DRUGS?

I'm fortunate I got to know real skaters and some professionals skaters while growing up in Colorado and then the time I lived in Moab and California.  Real skate boarders don't use drugs.  Drugs are a distraction when you want to perform at your best while mastering tricks to do on a skateboard and that's why Professionals do no use.

Skate Park in Northglenn is sometimes different though and I heard some bad stories.  I only wish I could find some good examples on my walks around the city that could give me better information about the Skate Park and if we got some good professional skaters?  

The stories and experience I've had from the skate park has been mixed.  People using it with skate boards seem pretty good at it, even some off road bikes have been seen using it pretty well.  But then at dark and later at night it starts getting into a different kind of story and people have reported illegal activity.  Even got one daytime report of a young couple with children getting into a hassle.

The design of the skate park is nice and perhaps because it's in the far back corner it's attracting the wrong element at night.  Many cities have lame skate parks and Northglenn has a decent one. I'd like to see it get put to good use.

Like I always keep saying.  Is that it's up to the community to police the skate park and keep their Neighborhood Watches ready to call the police to have them patrol the park and keep it safe for our good citizens using the park.  If you see something, say something and get the police involved to keep our parks safe.  

If we can't handle the safety of our own skate park then it can be taken away.  Let's care for our community so we can have nice things.  Skaters help the city to help you.
