TOXIC ALGAE AT EB RAINS PARK AND OTHER PONDS.
This issue is under wraps. Not too many are interested in dealing with it. We are lucky that no Pirates got hurt, sick or ill in the process. E.B. Rains was cultivating this poisonous type of Algae for the entire summer and no one working in the city did anything and kept it under wraps. Until the day of a big event.
Apparently several concerned neighbors had dogs getting sick form the lake and complained and nothing happened. Do people have to die before the Council wakes up! Where was the Citizens Affair Board, where was the City Council? To busy to care with a skating goofing around with endless award ceremonies looking for votes. Focused on Parties and not Civic Responsibility. What lousy Leadership we currently have on the council. Just a bunch of phony's. Well they don't always show up and they are often unprepared to discuss anything. Several council members have been absent from their one paid job between 14% up to 30% of the time. The city deserves better.
Pirate Fest began on Sept. 20th and nothing was said. Until it was late and then they realized there was a problem on Sept. 21st. Talk about being late in recognizing hazards to the people in Northglenn. Good thing it was discovered in time. Too late for the Toxic Leadership of Northglenn.
Then again the Water fowl would of told you the lake was foul as they avoided the lake. This is not the only pond in Northglenn that is fouled by the algae. It's also at the Winburn Park, and behind the community center and likely all the rest. The systems in place to keep the water active and moving do not work and are ineffective. Letting these water ponds stagnate and build up toxins. The city must of known. They have not resolved or tried to fix it. They must of simply muted the topic as they do most topics waiting for drama to ensue, or in some cases tragic events.
You need a change for a better Mayor and that Mayor is Mark Philip Bromley. Your City Council needs me as I have a true background working with actually city infrastructures and know what protective services should be testing our lakes and ponds regularly as their intent was suppose to be functional not just for looks. Toxic Waters of Northglenn is an example of the Toxic Councils irresponsibility.
Remember this Election vote Mark Philip Bromley for Mayor let's get the Council back on the job.
